In 2026, St.Bernardus celebrates its 80th anniversary.
To mark this special milestone, brewery of St. Bernardus launched the exclusive “80 Years of Heritage” edition: a stylish tribute to the rich history of our brewery and the iconic colours of our classic beers.
Since the early days of St.Bernardus, yellow, red, and blue have been a distinctive part of the brewery's beer labels. For this anniversary edition, Creative Lead of St. Bernardus brewery Pieter Verdonck brought these colours together in a contemporary design inspired by the geometric art of Piet Mondriaan.
In 2012, Sint Bernardus brewery started a yearly tradition by presenting our St.Bernardus Abt 12 in a unique way. We created a new Magnum bottle and every year, an artist created an artwork especially for this occasion.
The beer
St.Bernardus Abt 12 is considered as one of the world's greatest beers. It is still brewed following the original recipe from 1946. It's a dark abbey ale, 10% ABV, perfectly balanced with a full body and a hoppy bite.
The bottle
The dark brown Magnum bottle is designed especially for this occasion. The brewery logo is embossed in the bottle, which gives it a stylish finish. In addition, the special 'Bière Belge neck', the personalized champagne cork and the full color wirehood make this Magnum a true collector's item.
The artwork
This years’ design celebrates 80th anniversary of the brewery
